About Us
The Climate Solutions Fund (CSF) is a cutting-edge climate and energy advocacy organization working to build bipartisan support for policies essential to achieving decarbonization at scale and speed.
We have a fundamental belief that without bipartisanship, the level of progress needed to address America's many energy and environmental challenges cannot be achieved. Few things in this realm are more important. We are working directly to fill that gap.
We have a passionate, mission-driven, and bipartisan team. As we continue to grow and scale our impact, we are seeking motivated early- to mid-career leaders to join us in this vital mission.
The Role:
CSF is looking for a Vice President of Development to lead fundraising, including and especially with the rapidly evolving world of AI and tech. You will own the strategy, professionalize and expand the funder pipeline, and work directly alongside CSF's Co-Founders and executive team to translate our mission into resources we need to rapidly grow.
- Location: Remote
- Compensation: $120,000–$150,000 annually, plus a benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, flexible PTO, paid parental leave, and retirement contribution
- Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
- Reports To: President
Your Responsibilities:
You will build and own CSF's fundraising strategy — setting annual revenue targets, identifying prospects, running cultivation, managing solicitations, and stewarding relationships through the full cycle. Specifically, you will:
- Develop and manage a portfolio of major donors, family offices, foundations, and corporate partners, with a focus on six-figure gifts
- Draft compelling funding proposals, grant applications, partnership briefs, and donor correspondence that translate CSF's policy work into a clear case for investment, owning the funding/grant cycles and deadlines
- Build and maintain the infrastructure that keeps the operation running cleanly — tracking all donor activity, pipeline status, and giving history
- Report regularly to the President on fundraising metrics, pipeline health, and progress against goals
- Manage grant tracking, gift processing, and acknowledgment functions
- As CSF scales, help define the team and infrastructure the organization will need to grow — with the expectation that this role may eventually lead a small team
Who We’re Looking For:
- Five or more years of experience in development, fundraising (non-profit or startup), or external affairs, and a track record of personally cultivating and closing major gifts
- You've worked with high-net-worth individuals, private investors, family offices, or foundations — ideally with some exposure to the technology or venture world, or a demonstrated ability to build new networks quickly
- You write with precision and persuasion
- You manage a complex pipeline without losing threads
- You're low ego and relationship-first in everything you do
- Familiarity with Salesforce or a comparable CRM is expected
- Experience with fundraising strategy, grant research tools, or email marketing platforms is a plus
- Most importantly: you're genuinely excited about our mission — and you want to be part of an organization that's disrupting the status quo and paving a new path forward
Why CSF:
This is not a role inside a legacy institution. CSF is building something new in one of the most important gaps in America's energy and environmental space. We're constantly innovating, unearthing and implementing critical insights, and now we need focused help to scale this work at such a pivotal moment in U.S. history.
