Major/Essential Functions

  • Manage a Major Gift/Victory Circle portfolio of 100-150 active prospects.
  • Will be responsible for 200 visits per year.
  • Make 35 proposals and 10 assists.
  • Identify and cultivate donors close to Victory Circle Level ($10,000 + annually).
  • Generate new Victory Circle members through Red Raider Club Excellence Fund gifts.
  • Oversight of several boosters within designated sport units.
  • Communicate with other TTU Advancement and TTUS Institutional Advancement colleagues & departments on Athletics donors/prospects.
  • Provide constant communication with the Athletics Development team to effectively engage and cultivate steward donors.
  • Comply with all NCAA, Big 12 and Texas Tech University rules, regulations and policies.

Position Description

Performs the administrative duties of planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating special development efforts.  Responsibilities may include: cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of individual, foundation, and corporate support for the TTU/System; adherence to the prospect management system; and plans, coordinates and evaluates development goals.  Responsible for fiscal management of development goals.  Work is performed under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus three years development or sales experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience equal seven years.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Detail oriented, highly organized, and demonstration of both personal/interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience with Athletics Development and internal Athletics departments.

Pay Statement

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
